Glacier Peak’s Baldwin ties county record with 3rd title at Mat Classic XXXV

The senior claims the 125-pound championship and joins Marysville Pilchuck’s Alivia White as local three-time winners.

Five Snohomish County boys win titles at Mat Classic XXXV

Redemption was the theme as three seniors won championships after falling in finals a year ago. Two others repeated as state-title winners.

After leaving Palestine, Lake Stevens senior finds place with wrestling team

Ahmad Banishamsa moved to the U.S. in sixth grade. He’s now a top wrestler in the state despite picking up the sport just two years ago.

Mark Perry retires after nearly four decades with Snohomish High sports

In June, the 62-year-old cornerstone of Snohomish sports retired from his post as the school’s athletic director.

Mark Perry, who recently retired as athletic director at Snohomish High School. Perry spent years as an assistant and head coach for the football and boys wrestling teams before taking over as athletic director in 2013.
